Our History

Advanced Chimney Solutions is owned and operated by Dan DePriest Jr. Dan is a professional firefighter-paramedic for Anne Arundel County with over 20 years of service. He has over 21 years of experience in the chimney industry. He is a certified chimney professional through the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), a member of the National Chimney Sweep Guild (NCSG), Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, Better Business Bureau, and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. Also, licensed through the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.

All of our technicians are professional firefighters with an embedded working knowledge of fire, chimney and workplace safety. Although our technicians are professionals, Dan ensures that he is present, overseeing and working just as hard and diligently on every job no matter the job size.

We are knowledgeable and follow all the codes and standards set forth by the National Fire Protection Association. We believe that these codes, standards, rules and regulations exist to protect and improve our work environment, as well as, protect our customers and their homes, so they should be adhered to at all times.

We too are consumers, so Advanced Chimney Solutions operates according to the Golden Rule:

“Do unto others as you’d have them do to you”
